Specification:
1. Both ends of the fibers shall be terminated with female type MPO connector with
"key-up" configuration on one end and "key-down" configuration on another end.
2. Characteristics of single mode fiber in the MPO patch cord shall be compliant
to ITU-T G652.
3. The MPO connectors shall be compliant to IEC 61754-7 .
4. The angular end face ferrule characteristics of the fibers in MPO patch cord shall
be compliant to IEC 61755-3-2 .
5. The performance characteristics of the MPO-MPO patch cord shall be compliant
to IEC 61753 and the suggested test methodologies within.
6. The color coding scheme of the MPO-MPO patch cord shall be compliant to
ANSI/TIA-598-C optical fiber cable coding. Per this standard, the fiber outer jacket
and connector sleeve shall be yellow and the individual internal fiber color shall
comply to the specification.
7. This MPO patch cord assembly shall adhere to the intermateability standards
referenced in ANSI/TIA-604-5, FOCIS-5, fiber optic intermateability standard,
type MPO.
8. The connectors and jacket material on patch cord shall be LSZH rated when
tested as per IEC 60754-1 and compliant to the smoke emission requirements of
IEC 61034 and IEC 60754-2.
